Creative & Curious
I cannot remember the first time I was called creative or curious, but if I had to guess I would say I was about four years old.
What was true then, is true now. Besides my natural creativity and curiousity I've chosen to hone those traits further.
During my university degree I was taught to use design thinking which is a process that really makes you go out and talk to the people in your target audience, it makes you zoom out and then zoom into the tiniest details to get the best results possible. I love utilising this to make sure I get all of the information in a way that is accessible for everyone involved. I've since used this method in about all of the jobs I've held since.
For the longest time I thought creativity had to come in a physical way, so I took to making my own merchandise for bands and musicians I liked and sometimes I still do, but I mostly really love coming up with new innovative concepts and strategies. That is my favourite part of any uni module or job. Sometimes this makes my brain feel like jelly, but its the best kind of exhaustion to me. I've never been good with just doing what I'm told, I need to understand why and then see if this is the right way to go about it.
Or in other words the horizon is never broadened enough :)
