Let's Talk about: Valentyne Magazine
When I was starting to get gather opportunities to work on my CV for later jobs in the music industry I started my own hypothetical music magazine.
I called it Valentyne Magazine, as an ode to 5 seconds of summer's bassist.. that can't spell very well.
At its heart, Valentyne Magazine was supposed to be a celebration of European heritage. In the music industry, europe is oftentimes not the centre of attention, so I wanted to weave a narrative from the perspective of dedicated european fans.
I wanted this to be a space where european fan stories could be told authentically.
I never got around to actually doing it, but doing the branding and working on pretend articles was a very fun way for me to grow my skill-and mindset.
