20.000 Follower Growth
At FashionUnited, I took a strategic approach to managing their social accounts, growing our collective following by 20,000 across multiple platforms.
To kick things off, I rebranded the Instagram page. The original feed was a bit too playful, with only flashy news articles getting traction. I refreshed the look to be more sleek and established, made better use of Instagram Stories, and introduced a weekly curated section featuring top fashion jobs in our main follower locations. I also began sharing influencer articles I wrote, which led to organic growth-since I’d built relationships with those influencers, they were happy to reshare stories about themselves, extending our reach even further.
On LinkedIn, I shifted our tone to be more professional and made it a point to tag every brand mentioned in our articles. This strengthened our connections with fashion brands and their social teams, making them more likely to reshare our content and boost our visibility.
I also expanded FashionUnited’s presence to TikTok, embracing the idea that even B2B professionals use TikTok at home. By tapping into this platform, we reached fashion professionals where they already spend their time, helping us connect with a broader and more engaged audience.
Overall, my strategy combined rebranding, community engagement, and platform-specific content to drive real, measurable growth.
